About the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative

Mission

Our libraries provide welcoming environments, a broad range of relevant materials in a variety of formats, and highly qualified, customer-focused employees. We are always looking for ways to better serve our community and invite you to contact us with questions, comments, purchase suggestions, and program feedback.

History

Since September 1, 1999, library customers have benefited from being members of HCPLC through increased access to materials and programs, and the ability to request, borrow, and return materials at all partner libraries.

A portion of our library materials budget has been funded under the provisions of the State Aid to Libraries Grant Program, administered by the Florida Department of State’s Division of Library and Information Services.
